Our Story

Introducing Lisnabrin, the perfect Country House destination for a peaceful escape. Set amongst the beautiful Irish countryside, Lisnabrin offers exclusive accommodation and all you need for a unique gathering with friends and family.

Lisnabrin is a beautiful Georgian property, built in 1720 and renovated to a high standard. The Lisnabrin ethos is cosy country comfort combined with all the modern conveniences.  From luxurious beds and linens, antique furniture and roaring log fires to fibre broadband, fun entertainment area and 10 seater hot tub with countryside views. Lisnabrin is the perfect venue for memorable gatherings of family and friends.

Reception rooms consist of the welcoming drawing room, the formal dining room, the cosy library and fully equipped country kitchen. The adjoining Coach House wing provides a more relaxed area for entertaining. It boasts a vast oak dining table and unique bar. This area opens out onto the sunny BBQ courtyard terrace. The bar is a great place to chill and catch up by the log burning stove or enjoy a relaxing drink in the large hot tub (room for 10) - great to ease the muscles after those long country walks. The pool table, darts board and large screen TV mean there is something for everyone.

Lisnabrin can accommodate up to 17 guests in six ensuite double bedrooms and one family room. Three double ensuites on the 1st floor, three double ensuites and a family room on the 2nd floor.

All rooms are uniquely furnished, some with four poster beds, all super comfy.

There is Fibre Broadband Wi-Fi throughout. A biomass boiler and solar technology ensure comfortable adjustable heating and instant hot water. Modern homegrown green energy - our Miscanthus biomass fuel is grown and harvested on the estate!

Outside, there is lots of space on the lawns for tennis, soccer or croquet. The large outdoor dining area and lounge terrace are perfect for enjoying the summer evenings. The courtyard BBQ terrace has a coal and gas burner BBQ area. Visit the secret woodland area for fun on the trampoline and swing, or kick back by the fire-pit for a sing song under the stars.

Here are some of our amazing feedback from previous guests!

"Where do I begin, most beautiful Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at  Niamh & her team were beyond gracious. It was our first time In Ireland & Niamh went above & beyond helping us plan every detail of this trip, from places to sightsee, restaurants, arranging groceries & even transportation. The pictures of this estate are gorgeous but the house is even more beautiful in person. Perfect for a big group, we had 11 plus a baby & had rooms to spare & bathrooms for everyone. There’s so much to do at the house, explore the grounds, hang out in bar & game room or relax in the hot tub, we could’ve spent a whole week just there. We were truly so spoiled. Don’t miss this hidden gem.."

During Your Stay

Interaction with guests

We are very much led by the guests on this one.  We are always on hand to offer advice or arrange any extras you may need, but we will leave you to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

The Team

Although our horses are mainly out of competition during the summer, a groom attends daily to keep an eye on the stable yard - which is not accessible to guests.

Gardeners will need to attend a few days each week. They will make sure not to interrupt your stay.

The owners may need to stay in one of the cottages onsite for short periods - season dependant.

All these activities will be carried out discreetly, access will be via a separate driveway and will not affect your privacy.
